Second Degree BSN

Second Degree BSN semester two. So first semester is finally over.  I managed to squeak by with a 4.0 at the end and more than anything I am just happy that it is over with.  This semester will be BUSY!  We are studying Med-Surg which is a six credit class and 5 other courses on top of that.  Oh, and since it is a summer semester it is only 12 weeks long.

The teachers that we have met so far seem very well qualified and well prepared to teach the material that they are covering.  MCON has a vast amount of resources in the professors that they have hired, but I feel that perhaps they do not take full advantage of the skill that they have.  It is like a diamond in the rough.

I will be interviewing for a scholarship with a hospital back home in Plano, TX which will pay $2,000 per semester toward tuition.  It is a nice level II trauma center in a very nice area.  Money is perhaps on of the biggest concerns right now.  Our newborn baby had a surgery which cost $80,000 pre-insurance and we are trying to move.

DO NOT!!! Live on the South End of Peoria.  We caught a guy looking in our windows a couple nights ago and I had to run him off.  The next morning we began looking for a new place.
